Roanoke, VA Walk-In Shower Transformation
Bath Planet SWVA recently completed a beautiful bathroom upgrade in Roanoke, VA, replacing an outdated bathtub with a modern, ADA-compliant walk-in shower designed for comfort, accessibility, and timeless style. This transformation delivers a perfect balance of functionality and refined aesthetics, creating a space the homeowners can enjoy with ease every day.
Accessible Walk-In Shower Design
The centerpiece of this project is a spacious walk-in shower built with ADA compliance in mind. By removing the old tub, we opened up the bathroom and created a safer, more accessible bathing solution. The low-threshold entry and thoughtfully planned layout provide ease of use without compromising on style, making the space both practical and inviting.
Calcutta Acrylic Wall System
The shower features elegant Calcutta acrylic wall panels that bring a bright, marble-inspired look to the space. These grout-free walls offer the upscale appearance of natural stone while remaining easy to clean and maintain. Durable and resistant to mold, mildew, and staining, the acrylic system ensures long-lasting performance with minimal upkeep.
Sleek Chrome Fixtures and Functional Features
Polished chrome fixtures add a clean, classic finish to the shower, complementing the light tones of the Calcutta walls. This installation includes a full set of accessibility-focused features such as strategically placed grab bars for added safety and stability.
A color-matched bench seat provides a comfortable place to sit, while matching corner shelves offer convenient storage without disrupting the design. The shower is equipped with a Delta 17 trim kit, along with a slider bar and a handheld showerhead featuring an extended hose. This setup allows the handheld to be easily positioned on a clip right next to the seat, enhancing both comfort and usability.
A Seamless, Comfortable Upgrade
This Roanoke bathroom transformation showcases how accessibility and style can go hand in hand. The combination of Calcutta acrylic walls, chrome finishes, and thoughtfully integrated features creates a cohesive, polished look while significantly improving everyday functionality. The result is a clean, modern, and highly usable shower space tailored to the homeowners’ needs.
