Bath Planet SWVA recently completed a beautiful shower and flooring transformation in Christiansburg, VA, creating a bathroom space that feels elegant, functional, and effortlessly inviting. Designed to complement the existing bathroom aesthetic, this remodeled shower combines everyday practicality with upscale design details for a truly refreshed space.  The new and coordinated luxury vinyl tile flooring adds to this look and feel.

Spacious and Refined Shower Upgrade

This New River Valley project focused on creating a shower that feels open, comfortable, and highly functional. The right wall was removed and a new one built to enlarge the shower space, while the toilet was relocated to the center of the altered area to maximize that space, as well.  The updated layout improves the overall flow of the bathroom while offering a more relaxing and enjoyable showering experience. Every detail was selected to enhance both convenience and visual appeal, transforming the shower into a standout feature of the room.

Travertine Large Subway Tile Acrylic Wall System

The shower showcases large travertine subway tile acrylic wall panels that bring warmth and timeless sophistication to the bathroom. Inspired by the rich, natural beauty of stone, this grout-free wall system delivers the elegant appearance of travertine while remaining exceptionally easy to clean and maintain. The look of large subway tile gives it a modern touch.  Its durable, mold- and mildew-resistant surface ensures lasting beauty, while the soft neutral tones create a calm, spa-like atmosphere.

Brushed Nickel Fixtures and Safety Features

A coordinated brushed nickel fixture package adds a clean, polished finish throughout the shower space. Carefully placed grab bars provide added safety and stability without compromising style. The brushed nickel Delta 17 trim kit and matching handheld shower head deliver both functionality and a sleek, modern touch, creating a cohesive design that feels refined and practical.

Coordinating Composite Folding Seat and Brushed Nickel Niche Shelving

To maximize comfort and convenience, this shower remodel also includes a coordinated folding composite seat and brushed nickel niche shelving. These integrated features blend seamlessly into the shower design, providing both visual continuity and everyday usability. The seat adds comfort and accessibility, while the niche shelves offer practical storage for bath essentials without cluttering the space.  The brushed nickel hardware on the seat coordinates nicely with the other brushed nickel finishes found throughout the bathroom.

To complete the remodel, a brushed nickel clear glass pivot door was installed to beautifully enclose the shower. This striking finishing touch enhances the modern, upscale feel of the bathroom while helping the entire shower remain bright and open. The clean glass design showcases the travertine tile acrylic walls and coordinated fixtures, creating a luxurious, seamless finish that elevates the entire New River bathroom.
