Bath Planet SW Virginia recently completed a stunning shower-to-tub conversion for Glen and Linda Smith in Bedford, VA, delivering a modern and functional upgrade to their bathroom. The goal was to replace the outdated shower with a stylish, efficient tub system that provides both comfort and durability, making the space more versatile and inviting.
A Custom Tub System Installation
We started by installing a 60x34x13 RHD Almond Acrylic Straight Bathtub, a sleek and spacious option that fits perfectly into the bathroom layout. The tub was paired with a 3-wall system featuring Travertine Smooth Acrylic walls, which extended all the way to the ceiling for a clean, polished look. To complement the tub, we installed a Delta 17 Standard Tub Valve with Chrome finish, offering a classic and easy-to-use solution for both functionality and design. We also reused the existing grab bar and showerhead to ensure that the system met the homeowner’s needs without unnecessary changes. For added convenience, a smooth, single-tier acrylic shelf was installed to match the Travertine walls, providing extra storage space for toiletries.

Matching corner shelves and Calcutta wainscoting tie the shower design throughout the bathroom. Brushed nickel fixtures include grab bars, a coordinating trim kit, a rain shower head, and custom glass enclosure accents. The renovation also features new flooring and an ADA-compliant toilet, while the original vanity, mirror, and lighting were reinstalled to preserve the homeowners’ existing setup.

Bath Planet SWVA recently completed a bathroom renovation in Forest, VA, transforming an outdated tiled walk-in shower into a beautiful, modern wet area. The renovation features smooth travertine-colored acrylic wall panels paired with a matching acrylic shower pan, trim, bench seat, and corner shelves. Oil-rubbed bronze fixtures include a coordinating trim kit, shower head, handheld shower on a slider bar, and grab bars. The shower was finished with a custom glass enclosure featuring a full-size panel along the fixture wall and a second panel mounted on a half wall, with the pivoting door completing the sleek, open design.
