Bath Planet SW Virginia recently completed a stunning shower-to-tub conversion for Glen and Linda Smith in Bedford, VA, delivering a modern and functional upgrade to their bathroom. The goal was to replace the outdated shower with a stylish, efficient tub system that provides both comfort and durability, making the space more versatile and inviting.
A Custom Tub System Installation
We started by installing a 60x34x13 RHD Almond Acrylic Straight Bathtub, a sleek and spacious option that fits perfectly into the bathroom layout. The tub was paired with a 3-wall system featuring Travertine Smooth Acrylic walls, which extended all the way to the ceiling for a clean, polished look. To complement the tub, we installed a Delta 17 Standard Tub Valve with Chrome finish, offering a classic and easy-to-use solution for both functionality and design. We also reused the existing grab bar and showerhead to ensure that the system met the homeowner’s needs without unnecessary changes. For added convenience, a smooth, single-tier acrylic shelf was installed to match the Travertine walls, providing extra storage space for toiletries.
