tub or shower upgrade!
Bath Planet SW Virginia recently completed a stunning bathtub-to-walk-in shower conversion and flooring installation in Blacksburg, VA. The project involved removing the outdated bathtub, walls, and old flooring and replacing them with a modern walk-in shower, elegant tiled walls, and luxury vinyl tile flooring. The transformation is both functional and visually appealing, creating a fresh, contemporary space that enhances the bathroom’s overall look. The sleek new shower is equipped with silver fixtures, including a new shower head, temperature control handle, shower rod, and a grab bar, providing an upgraded, luxurious experience.
The Benefits of Converting a Bathtub to a Walk-In Shower
Converting a traditional bathtub into a walk-in shower offers a range of benefits, particularly in terms of modernizing and maximizing the efficiency of the bathroom. For homeowners who value safety and convenience, walk-in showers are easier to enter and exit compared to bathtubs, reducing the risk of slips and falls. In addition to the safety grab bar, this shower conversion features shelves and a built-in bench seat, adding functionality and comfort. The conversion also updates the space, creating a sleek, modern aesthetic that enhances the bathroom’s overall appeal.
A Flooring Upgrade That Transforms the Space
As part of this project, we also replaced the bathroom’s old flooring with luxury vinyl tile (LVT), adding a durable, low-maintenance, and stylish touch. LVT is known for its ability to mimic the look of natural materials, such as wood or stone while offering superior water resistance—perfect for bathroom environments. After installing the flooring, our team reinstalled the toilet and vanity, completing the updated, cohesive look. The new flooring improves the bathroom’s appearance and ensures it can withstand daily use while maintaining its beauty.
