Lynchburg, VA Walk-In Shower Transformation
Bath Planet SWVA recently completed a stunning tub-to-shower conversion in Lynchburg, VA, turning an outdated bathroom into a modern, open, and highly functional space. By removing the old tub and installing a custom walk-in shower, this remodel delivers a fresh, updated look while significantly improving daily usability. The finished design strikes a balance between comfort and style, creating a space that feels both refined and inviting.
Open and Efficient Walk-In Shower Design
This project centered on maximizing space and improving the overall flow of the bathroom. Eliminating the bulky tub allowed for a more open layout, making the room feel larger and easier to navigate. The new walk-in shower offers a more accessible and comfortable bathing experience, with carefully selected features that enhance both function and aesthetics. The result is a clean, streamlined design that elevates the entire room.
Calcutta Acrylic Wall System
The shower walls feature Calcutta-style acrylic panels, delivering the elegant look of marble without the upkeep of traditional tile. This system is low-maintenance, easy to clean, and resistant to mold and mildew, ensuring long-term durability. The bright, crisp veining of the Calcutta pattern adds a sophisticated, timeless appeal that enhances the overall space.
Chrome Fixtures and Modern Shower Features
A full chrome fixture package provides a sleek, polished finish throughout the shower. The system includes a Delta 17 trim kit paired with a handheld shower head mounted on an adjustable slider bar for added flexibility and convenience. Grab bars were strategically installed to improve safety and stability while maintaining a cohesive, modern appearance.
Integrated Seating and Storage Solutions
To enhance comfort and usability, the shower includes a built-in bench seat and color-matched corner shelves. These elements blend seamlessly with the Calcutta wall system, offering practical storage and seating without interrupting the clean design. The bench adds a spa-like touch, while the shelving keeps everyday essentials within easy reach.
Euro Sliding Glass Door Enclosure
Completing the remodel is a Euro-style sliding glass door that encloses the shower while maintaining an open, airy feel. The clear glass showcases the Calcutta walls and chrome finishes, allowing the full design to stand out. This final detail ties everything together, resulting in a bathroom that feels modern, functional, and visually striking.
